Our clientele range from large multi-state manufacturers to small family owned and operated businesses. We insure contractors large and small, inclusive of various bonding requirements, as well as wholesalers and distributors. We maintain a particular area of expertise in all types of Real Estate Insurance protection, professional liability exposure, directors and officers liability insurance, various professional consultant's liability, medical and legal malpractice coverage, and employment related practices insurance protection. Additionally, we maintain and service the group health insurance programs for our clients in all areas of business operation.

In addition to commercial insurance risks, we maintain a large volume of personal lines business, including but not limited to homeowners, automobile, umbrella, yacht, and life insurance. We provide our personal lines clients with the highest level of personal risk management service.

Our concept is to approach all clients from a risk management standpoint. We do not "sell on price", and instead propose coverage only after identification, analysis of perils, and exposure of our clients have been ascertained. We remain conspicuously involved with all claim occurrences - both first and third party, and act as intermediaries between our insured's and their respective carrier. We are secure in the knowledge that our client understand the need for our professionalism regarding their insurance portfolio.

As agents of eight carriers, we maintain complete field binding authorization. As brokers, we can access virtually any insurance carrier - both licensed and non-licensed in New York State. We currently maintain non-resident insurance licenses in twenty-one different states.

Collectively, we have had the experience of working for major international carriers, as well as both regional and national insurance broker firms.

Meet our Professionals

is the President of S.K. Streisand Agency, Ltd. Scott began his career in 1981 with Liberty mutual Insurance Company. Accepted to the company's management program, Scott gained experience in several different company departments. This included claims, underwriting, loss control management, and sales. In 1982 Scott achieved Liberty Mutual's award for "most new accounts, 1982." In 1983, he joined a regional insurance broker as an account executive. From 1983 through 1989 Scott enjoyed success in the insurance brokerage environment, and continued his studies in the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) program. After working with an international brokerage firm, Scott founded S.K. Streisand Agency, and through the current time the company has flourished, enjoying corporate growth through continued professional service and excellent insurance carrier relationships.

is the Vice President and a corporate officer of S.K. Streisand Agency, Ltd. She first joined the firm in 1998 as an assistant account executive. Since then, Helena has held several internal positions, including marketing director, and achieved the level of corporate officer in 2004. Helena maintains both Agent and broker licenses in New York State.
Helena graduated from Hofstra University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business Management. Prior to joining S.K. Streisand Agency, Helena was employed by a local insurance broker, and a major national carrier.
